Peas Stuffed Paratha Recipe

Ingredients:
Wheat flour – 250 gms
Green Peas – 1 cup
Carrot – 1/2 cup chopped
Grated Cheese – 1 tablespoon
Green chilli – 4
Grated ginger – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Jeera – little
Salt – to taste
Oil – little
Coriander leaves and water
Method:
1. First take wheat flour and prepare soft chapati dough.
2. Leave it for a minimum of 15 mins so that parathas will come out soft.
3. Now take a pan, heat oil, add jeera, green chilli, ginger, green peas, chopped carrot, turmeric and salt.
4. Mix well and keep it closed and allow it to cook in low flame for 5 mins.
5. Allow it to cool and grind it without adding water.
6. Mix this mixture with grated cheese and chopped coriander and keep the stuffing ready.
7. Take small balls of the wheat dough and make small cup size shapes and stuff the mixture and seal the dough properly.
8. Prepare chapatis and cook by adding oil on either side.(Do not try to flatten too much as the stuffing will come out)
This Peas stuffed paratha goes well with pudhina green chutney.

Ridge Gourd Subji Recipe

Ingredients:

Ridge Gourd or Peerkangai or Beera Kaaya or dodka – 2

Onion – 2

Garlic – 4

Oil – 2 tsp

Mustard – 1 tsp

Coriander powder – 1 tsp

Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp (depending on taste)

Turmeric- a pinch

Salt – to taste

Water – as required

Method:

1. Take a pan, add oil, mustard and allow it to pop.

2. Add onion and garlic, cook till it becomes pink.

3. Now add chopped ridge gourd(peel off the skin),turmeric and sprinkle water and keep it closed fow few minutes.

4. Add chilli powder, coriander powder and salt .

5. Mix well and allow it for some time.

Spicy and delicious ridge gourd subji is ready. Goes well with chapatis.

Note: Do check the taste of the ridge gourd while cutting them. Some ridge gourd might taste bitter. In that case, please do not use them.

Radish Chapati Recipe

Ingredients:

Wheat flour – 2 cups

Grated radish – 1 cup

Chilli powder, salt – as required

Oil – little (at the end before serving)

Method:

1. Prepare chappathi dough adding the grated radish, chilli power, salt and little water to wheat flour.

2. Leave it for sometime to soften.

3. Now make small balls with the dough and prepare chappathi and serve with vegetables or with raita or dhaal.

4. Do not add oil to the chappathi as done for ordinary ones.

Tasty, spicy and healthy radish chappathi can be served.
